MAT PILATES
The Pilates Mat method is a very complete physical conditioning system where the body is worked on as a whole, from the deepest muscles to the most peripheral, and in which both the mind and the body are involved. Physical work is done on the Mat or mat.
This technique owes its name to its creator, Joseph H. Pilates, who defended the idea that by strengthening the energy center (Center or Power House), of each individual, free movement of the rest of the body could be achieved.
The Pilates method especially works what is called Center of force CORE or mansion of power, POWER HOUSE, made up of the abdominals, the base of the back and the pelvic floor. Strengthening these parts of the body works the energy from the inside out, allowing the rest of the anatomy to move freely.
Pilates is much more than a method. It is a whole philosophy of training the body and mind. His goal is to achieve precise control of the body in the healthiest and most efficient way possible.
In short, achieve a muscular balance, strengthening weak muscles and lengthening agreed muscles. This leads to increased control, strength and flexibility of the body, respecting the joints and the back. In this way, the method allows the practitioner to achieve harmony of body and mind by developing movements with grace and balance.
Pilates does not consist of lifting weights or performing repetitive exercises, it is not about strength or resistance movements, but about activities of tension and stretching of the extremities, where the abdomen and torso play an important role. In addition, unlike aerobic work, you do not have to follow music or have a highly developed sense of rhythm, but this method is based on a very safe program of slow and controlled exercises with slow and smooth movements.
In this, the precision of the movement is sought in few repetitions of 5/6. The principles of Pilates are control, alignment, centralization, fluidity and breathing are also key concepts of the method.
The results of the Pilates method are visible in the short term, there is no need to beat yourself up in long days in the gym, according to its predecessor: n ten sessions you will notice the difference and in thirty your body will change.
